Izenstone is more than just a venue; it is more than just one person or two or three people. It is an entire team of wedding-loving, detail-oriented, fun and marvelous individuals who live to be a part of making your experience exceptional. They know that there are no do-overs on the wedding day and that they have only one chance to get it right. At Izenstone, we have wedding planners & designers, bartenders, venue coordinators & assistants, golf-cart drivers & parking attendants. They do everything from hanging drapery from the beams in the venue to feeding our feathered friends. This team is even responsible for laying the stone pathway through the courtyard! Your day wouldn’t happen without each and every one of them.
In 2013, Todd and Laura Isenburg hosted their oldest daughter’s wedding in an intimate backyard ceremony. This is when Laura’s dream of Izenstone began. The next year, they purchased the property where Izenstone is located today and lived in an RV while they cleared the land, built their home and then constructed the venue. In 2018, they held Izenstone’s first wedding for their middle son, and the dream became a reality. Todd and Laura now feel as if they are dreaming with their eyes wide open after having witnessed nearly 200 couples say, “I do”.
Laura is the proud wife of a retired U.S. Marine and the mother of five remarkable children and two grandchildren. She spent twenty-four years homeschooling her 5 children and developed her planning skills. This became the solid foundation on which Izenstone stands today. Laura is a Certified Venue Profession through The Bridal Society; she loves all of the behind-the-scenes work it takes to bring a couple’s dream to life.

Amber Smith has been with Izenstone since the very beginning! With over 3 years of wedding planning experience under her belt and thirteen years of experience in the event industry, Amber has an eye and a passion for planning, designing and coordinating your dream wedding. She can’t wait to see your vision come to life!
Amber graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2011 with a degree in Public Relations and has loved the event planning side of the industry. When her mother, Laura, began to dream of opening her own wedding venue after Amber’s wedding in 2013, she was ready to help make this dream a reality!
Amber holds certificates for Certified Wedding Planner and Master Certified Wedding Planner through The Certified Wedding Planner Society, the world’s leading wedding planning certification program. The Certified Wedding Planner Society membership has proven to be a priceless resource. The continuing education they offer their members has been of immeasurable value to Amber as she guides her couples on their journey to forever!
When she isn’t working at the venue or for her sweet couples, you can find Amber at home with her two daughters, husband and their four dogs and three cats. She is either curled up with a good book, or watching a true crime documentary with a bottle of wine!
The Izenstone team lives for what they do. Jennifer Berry has been growing right along with us and planning weddings since 2020; loved by couples, her attention to details and gift for stunning décor has made her a valuable asset to our team! Haley Gibbs’ infectious smile and love of making her couples’ dreams come true is what makes her such a gifted planner! Traver Smith has been bartending for Izenstone since 2019; his unique sense of humor always brightens the day. Jennifer Berry joined the team in 2020 and dreams of your décor. We also couldn’t do what we do without Leslie, Tyler, Lyle, Courtney, Nicole and others. They mow and mover arbors, help with parking, drive the golf cart, barback, pick up flower petals, open doors for grand entrances, move tables and chairs and so much more. At Izenstone, you have an entire team working behind the scenes to make sure that your day is all that you dreamed it would be.
